The craps table is full of many different types of bets that are exciting and thrilling. One of them is the craps proposition bet. While having a high house edge, proposition bets are considered on roll bets where the players either win or lose depending on the roll of the dice. The payouts that are associated with proposition bets are printed on the table layout.Depending on the particular casino where craps is being played, the words may be listed differently. Usually, the words are either for or to when listing what will be paid out to the player. An example of this is 5 for 1 or 11 to 1. If the payout is listed as 5 to 1, then you will receive six dollars and the casino will take the original dollar that you wager. In the 11 to 1 example, the casino will pay you eleven dollars and you are able to keep your original bet.

There is also what is known as horn bets, which is a combination of four numbers. The casino player must wager in multiples of four dollars denoting one dollar for each of the four numbers. If any of the numbers are rolled by the craps shooter, the casino player will receive the amount for a single bet with three dollars subtracted for the numbers that did not win. Some players often wager in $5 bills. This is considered the Horns High. In this case, one number is selected as the high number and $2 is bet on that number.
