How the Whittaker Betting System Works

The biggest similarity between the three systems has to do with betting, but more specifically how to determine the bet amount for each round during the game. You determine how much you will bet by looking at your previous bet amounts.

With the Whittaker betting system, your first two bet amounts is up to you. It is only after you have encountered two consecutive losses will you begin to implement this strategy. When you’ve had two losses, the system suggests that you add up those two losses, and the sum will be what you bet the next time around.

For example, if you begin by betting $1, you must continue to bet $1 until you encounter two losses. If this is the case, your progression should look something like this. Notice how every third number is the sum of the previous two.

However, if you happen to win, you don’t add up your previous two bets to get the sum for your next bet, instead, you move back two spaces. You will do this every time you get a win. Have a look at the example below, assuming that you start off with a $2 bet.

Now, if you happen to get a win with your $26 bet, then your next bet will be $10 because you’ve gone back two spaces. If you happen to win again then your next bet will be $4 and so on.
