Seminole Hard Rock a Refuge
When Hurricane Irma hit the state two years ago, the Seminole tribe opened the doors of their venues to residents. In part, this was thanks to the large backup generators that provided refugees with air conditioning as well as other amenities. Hurricane Irma had 134 fatalities and nearly $77.2 billion in damages in Florida alone.
In further charitable fashion, the Hard Rock Hollywood held a charity poker tournament to help Feeding South Florida. The non-profit ensured that those in need had water, food and other supplies. Despite public criticism, the Seminole tribe and other casino organisations remain at the forefront of disaster recovery.
Other Casinos
Many of the gambling operators in Florida have the same intentions of helping the community when natural disasters occur. In fact, they are some of the first to offer help. When Hurricane Harvey ravaged the South in 2017, both Wynn Resorts and Centaur Gaming made donations to Texas communities. So, maybe it’s not all bad.
We just hope that the Seminole Hard Rock Guitar Tower makes it through the storm. Keep visiting BestUSACasinoSites.com for updates on this story and other casino news.
